Active Abilities Small Group Training

A friendly class designed for those with a disability to help individuals move and exercise in a safe and fun environment.

Circuit classes are held in our low-sensory studio for people aged 16+ living with a disability.

These new classes offer numerous benefits with a focus on cardio, strength and balance training

Dementia Friendly Group Class

A friendly class specifically designed for those with early-stage dementia to help individuals move and exercise in a safe and fun environment.

Led by experienced and qualified group exercise instructors, this class is engaging and fun. The class will work on improving functional strength, flexibility and cognitive stimulation.

Exercising helps to prevent falls and maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit. Other positive effects include improved mood, sleep and quality of life.

Sports Locker

Open the locker and get active!

Borrow table tennis equipment for FREE from Glen Waverley library to use at the forecourt outside of the library.

Equipment available to borrow: table tennis (bats and balls)

Borrowing time: 4-hour limit

How to borrow: Leave a form of ID with the library and collect when the equipment is returned and sanitised with wipes provided. You'll also need to sign an agreement. Being a library member isn’t essential.

The Sports Locker program is available when the Glen Waverley Library is open.

This program provides an opportunity for local families to ‘Participate Their Way’ by removing the cost of equipment and using the libraries' systems to hire out table tennis equipment in Glen Waverley.
