Hopeful Horizons is a FREE professional workshop designed to support individual from multicultural backgrounds who are looking to better understand and navigate the Australian job market. The session will focus on building practical skills, strong mindsets, and strategies to improve employment outcomes.

Who can attend

This event is open to anyone from a multicultural background who lives or works in Monash, has a good command of English, and is actively looking for work  but facing challenges in securing meaningful or ongoing employment

Whether you’ve been in Australia for one year or 10, you’ll leave with: 

  • a clearer understanding of the current job landscape.
  • practical tools to improve your job-seeking efforts.
  • strategies to help manage common challenges such as rejection, frustration and self-doubt.

About the facilitators

The session will be facilitated by Timothy Roberts, Director of Program Delivery at the Juno Institute. He brings extensive experience in personal and professional development, with a practical, grounded approach to employment success.

Location

Free parking will be available for registered attendees in the public car park located behind Building 5. Enter via Gate 3, opposite the 7 Eleven petrol station on Batesford Road. Then you will need to walk along Batesford Road, towards Warrigal Road, and enter the Conference Centre for the event.
