Road reconstruction works set for Coleman Parade in Glen Waverley

Wednesday 19 November – Monday 24 November

As part of our road reconstruction of Coleman Parade in Glen Waverley, we’ll be conducting road pavement works between Blackburn Road and Fiander Avenue over five (5) days, starting on Wednesday night, 19 November and finishing on Monday morning, 24 November.

We’ll be carrying out profiling, excavation works and asphalting works during this time, requiring some road closures:

  • The intersection of Coleman Parade and Fiander Avenue will be closed from Wednesday night until Monday morning
  • Coleman Parade will be closed, between Blackburn Road and the entrance to the Syndal multi-level carpark, from Wednesday night until Friday night
  • Coleman Parade will be closed, between Blackburn Road and Fiander Avenue, from Friday night until Monday morning.

The multi-level carpark at Syndal station will be unavailable from 11pm Friday, 21 November until 4am Monday, 24 November.

Some works will be completed at night to minimise disruption to traffic.

Traffic management measures will be implemented to ensure the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians around the construction site. Detours will be clearly marked and in place throughout the construction period.

Please note from 9pm on Wednesday, 19 November until 5am Monday 24 November, the car park at 286-290 Blackburn Road and the Fitness First car park will ONLY be accessible from Fiander Avenue, through the laneway.

Council has worked with Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) and local traders to coordinate these works and closures, minimising disruptions as much as possible.
