Multicultural Champion

Criteria

This award recognises outstanding achievement by an individual, organisation, service provider or business in the area of multiculturalism within Monash.

This achievement may have involved actively supporting cultural diversity by promoting harmony, respect of difference and inclusion, and building bridges between and within communities.

This category welcomes nominations from people who have

• Made substantial contributions to promoting the well-being of Monash’s multicultural communities and fostering understanding of their changing needs over time
• Shown involvement in activities that promote cultural diversity, harmony, and good community relationships, as an individual or as part of an organisation
• Advocated for multicultural groups in the wider community, or for a culturally diverse workforce through training and mentorship
• Implemented policies and programs that address the needs of Monash’s multicultural and religiously diverse community.
