If your child is turning 3 or 4 years old by 30 April 2027, they can attend kindergarten next year.
Kindergarten Open Night is your chance to visit local Monash kindergartens and explore the programs on offer before 2027 enrolments open in June 2026. You can drop in to as many participating kindergartens as you like on the night.

Who is this event for?
Parents and carers who are considering 3-year-old kinder, 4-year-old kinder or Pre-Prep for their child in 2027.
Which kindergartens are participating?
Most kindergartens that take part in Monash Council's central enrolment process will be open on the night.

Some kindergartens that take part in the central enrolment process will not be participating in Kindergarten Open Night in 2026.

Important to know
While Council manages enrolment applications for most kindergartens in the City of Monash, we do not manage applications for:
- kindergartens within long day care centres
- independent school kindergartens.
These services will not be participating in Kindergarten Open Night. If you are interested in these, please contact the service directly.
When enrolments open
Applications for 2027 kindergarten enrolments will be open early June – 30 June 2026.
If you know your kinder preferences, you can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) at any time before June. When applications open, you'll receive a notification directly to your inbox.
Please note, submitting an EOI early does not prioritise the application and does not guarantee a place at a kinder. Learn more about kindergarten offers and allocations.
