New direct debit system makes flexible rates payments easy

We’ve introduced a new direct debit system that makes paying your rates even easier.  

With the convenience of weekly, fortnightly and monthly instalments from all major bank accounts, credit and debit cards our new system provides greater flexibility to manage your rates payments from any device.  

You can also:  

• change payment frequency  
• change payment and dates  
• check your live balance online, anytime 
• receive helpful reminders before payments are due. 

Important: Because direct debit arrangements include your bank, personal and payment details, we can’t transfer details from the old system into the new system. If you want to pay by direct debit, you’ll need to set up payments in our new system.

What this means for you

If you were previously on direct debit:

• Your final payment was on 1 June 2026 
• Your previous direct debit arrangement has been cancelled
• No further payments will be taken.

If you’d like to continue paying by direct debit:

• Sign up using our new direct debit system.

• Follow the instructions to do this on your 2026/27 rates notice or visit flexible rates payments.

If you'd like to start paying by direct debit:

To pay your rates in 10 instalments or more:

• Select the flexible monthly option
• Choose the payment dates and frequency that suit your needs.
