Dr Andi Diamond reappointed Monash CEO

Dr Andi Diamond has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer of Monash City Council until 31 July 2030.
Announcing the appointment Monash Mayor, Cr Stuart James said this decision reflects Council’s confidence in Dr Diamond’s exceptional leadership and in the strength of the organisation she leads.
“Monash has a genuine community-first approach, and this has been reflected in consistently outstanding resident and ratepayer satisfaction results,” said Cr James.
“That record speaks to Andi’s leadership and the strong culture she has fostered.
“That culture makes Monash an attractive place to work for talented people wanting a career in local government.
“More importantly, it supports staff to deliver outstanding service to our community,” he said.
Dr Diamond was first appointed Chief Executive Officer of Monash City Council in 2012, having previously served as Director of Community Services from 2000 to 2008.
“Throughout her time as CEO, Andi has led Monash with professionalism, integrity and a deep commitment to our community and staff,” Cr James said.
“Her leadership was particularly evident through the COVID-19 pandemic, when Council was required to navigate extraordinary challenges while continuing to deliver essential services, support our community and maintain a stable, high-performing organisation.
“Andi’s reappointment provides important continuity and stability, ensuring the organisation can continue to build on its strong culture, performance and reputation under her leadership,” he said.
The Mayor congratulated Dr Diamond on behalf of Council and thanked her for her outstanding service and leadership.
