Low sensory quiet aquatics sessions in Clayton

Following a successful trial in July and August, Clayton Aquatics and Health Club has made low sensory quiet sessions a permanent part of their timetable.
Sessions are designed to reduce anxiety and stress for patrons who require, or prefer, a quieter and less stimulating environment.
No music is played, public announcements are avoided where possible, water features are turned off, blinds are lowered to reduce glare, staff radio and phone volume is lowered and sessions are held when there are no scheduled aquatic fitness classes or learn to swim lessons.
What to expect:
- No music
- Announcements avoided
- Water features turned off
- Blinds lowered to reduce glare in the pool area (pending visibility)
- Radio and phone volume lowered
- No scheduled aquatic or fitness classes

When:
- Tuesdays 12:30pm – 2pm
- Fridays 7:30pm – 8:45pm
- Saturdays 1:30pm – 3pm
