RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus)

Access to this vaccine requires an adult to hold a Medicare card.

Pregnant people from 28 to 36 weeks of pregnancy can access a single dose of RSV maternal vaccine** under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).

The RSV vaccine protects the newborn baby from severe RSV in the first 6 months of life through the passing of antibodies from the mother to the foetus during pregnancy.

A small service fee will be applied.
