Who are We?

Glen Waverley Bowls Club is situated in the heart of Monash, in central Glen Waverley.. It is one of the larger clubs in the Melbourne metropolitan area and is a great place to play lawn bowls. Whether a beginner or seasoned player we offer a fantastic environment to learn, practice, compete or simply to stay healthy. We also boast 8 outdoor Pickleball Courts, catering to the Monash Community for this popular fast growing sport.

We welcome everyone from the very young through to 100+

In addition the Club has three excellent eight-rink grass greens which are maintained to the highest standards and are in top condition right throughout the season.

We enjoy the comfort of a spacious clubhouse, which provides an ideal apres-bowls zone for members and guests to relax, and enjoy a refreshing drink from our well stocked bar after the game. The surrounding gardens, which are tended by the members, are the envy of many bowlers from neighbouring clubs.

Membership for both Bowls and Pickleball:

We always welcome new members, to practice, play social competitions and also to play in our pennant teams. If Pickleball is your thing, come and join us. We have some of the most competitive membership and playing rates in Australia and with over 100 Pickleball members already, you will always find someone to have a hit with.

Please come along and we will make you feel welcome. This is your Community venue and we welcome your joining us.

Also, if you are interested in joining the ranks of lawn or indoor bowlers, please consider our club. You will be happy to give us a try.

We are centrally situated at 690 Waverley Road, Glen Waverley next door to Central Reserve, on the south western corner of Springvale and Waverley Roads. Ample off street Parking available.

Hiring Club Facilities

The Glen Waverley Bowls Club and its greens are also available for Function or Event hire.

The main auditorium and bar area is suitable for Christmas parties, anniversaries, birthdays, engagements, social gatherings, dances, corporate events, product launches, company presentations, sports and social club fundraisers etc.

The club has excellent facilities including:

Tiled main auditorium seating 176 at 22 rectangular tables with 8 chairs.
Carpeted bar lounge area seating 70 at 12 round tables with 6 chairs, adjoining auitorium.
Air-conditoned/heated.
Large car park (200+)
Licensed bar and outdoor surrounds.
No BYO is allowed.
Bar tab available for functions.
Eftpos facilities for account charging – Visa, Master Card.
Fully serviced kitchen area with servery, ample refrigeration
A designated smoking area is available.
Ample toilet facilities with ladies' lounge & men's locker room with shower.
Disabled toilet facilities are available, easy access to the club is provided.

Events can also include a Bowls program involving fun roll ups, with tuition, organised games, ideal for staff interaction, team building, human resource development, or just a fun day. Guests must wear flat-soled shoes/runners, bare feet ok as well.
