Players Theatre Company
We are a not-for-profit community theatre company based in Oakleigh East. Established in 1982 as the Holy Family Players and evolving in the 1990's into Players Theatre Company, we currently produce youth musicals for children aged 8 - 18. For our cast, we provide a fun theatre experience with a qualified production team, and for our audience we deliver highly entertaining performances for the families of the City of Monash community and surrounds. Previous youth shows include The Little Mermaid Jr, Shrek Jr, Aladdin Jr, Madagascar Jr, Alice in Wonderland Jr, Mulan Jr and Seussical Jr.
We also attend the annual Junior Theatre Festival, held in Newcastle and the Junior Theatre Celebration, held at Bunjil Place in Narre Warren. This is an exciting opportunity to meet other musical loving students from all over Australia and the world, whilst attending workshops run by professional musical theatre performers.
We fundraise with trivia nights and Bunnings BBQ's, and love to perform at events, including the Monash Carols by Candlelight, Clayton Festival, Oakleigh Christmas Carols, the Monash Arts Expo and the Casey Relay for Life.
We welcome volunteers from the City of Monash to help with set building, painting, costumes, front of house and fundraising.
