Balance the Scales - International Women's Day 2026

Each year Council proudly supports International Women’s Day, which is marked annually on 8 March 2026.

This day is acknowledged around the world and is a time to celebrate the achievements of all women, reflect on progress, and come together to continue to work towards gender equality.

In 2026 the theme is ‘Balance the Scales’, highlighting the urgent need to ensure fair, inclusive, and accessible justice for every woman and girl. This includes recognition that climate justice is also gender justice.
