Rainwater Tank, Grey Water

No specific planning permit is required for rainwater tanks up to 4,500 litres when installed on residential properties, except for areas covered by the Heritage Overlay.

A permit may be required when:

  • A rainwater tank is to be installed in a multi-unit development
  • An existing planning permit requires approval for additional building works
