Free paediatric first aid sessions in Glen Waverley

Kidsafe Victoria will be delivering 3 free paediatric first aid sessions in Glen Waverley, in collaboration with our first aid partner, Emergcare.

The sessions will provide parents, carers, grandparents and community members with practical, life-saving knowledge and skills to help keep children safe. 

In Australia, preventable injuries remain the leading cause of death for children aged 1–14, with 35 Victorian children tragically losing their life and more than 100,000 treated in hospitals each year. 

Facilitated by experienced health professionals, this practical non-accredited course covers essential topics including:

• infant and child CPR
• choking
• drowning
• burns
• anaphylaxis
• asthma
• poisoning and
• injury prevention.

While we hope these skills are never needed, being prepared for an emergency is vital. Babies and breastfeeding are welcome at all sessions.

These sessions have been made possible through the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) Community Projects Fund so they are free for parents and carers.
