Argyle Reserve has something for everyone - open space for exercise, a dog off-leash area (see green area in map below), a playground with children's obstacle course, a table tennis table, free outdoor fitness equipment and a modern sports pavilion.
Dogs are not permitted on the sportsground when organised sport events and training are in progress, and must still be under effective control in off-leash areas. More information at Dog Off-Leash Areas.
The reserve's playground was upgraded in 2026. It features a swing-set with nest swing, two slides, an inclusive spinner, climbing equipment, balancing logs and a nature play area for children to explore. There's also a children's obstacle course, where kids can test their speed and agility.
A picnic shelter, seats, bins and drinking fountains round out the space, making it a venue the whole family can enjoy.
