Annual hard waste collection in Monash starts soon and runs over 8 weeks from July to September.

If your property is eligible for hard waste, you'll receive a flyer in your letterbox with:

  • your collection date
  • what we can and can't collect
  • instructions on how to place items.

If you live in an apartment, aged care, rooming house or group accommodation, or other multi-unit dwelling, you may not be eligible for a hard waste collection. Please check with your building manager or body corporate before putting items out.

Check your date online

Search your collection date online, and check what we can and can't collect before putting out items.

When we collect your hard waste

Don't put batteries in hard waste

Batteries cannot go in hard waste or any bin. Please remove all batteries from any electronic items put out for collection.

Take batteries to a recycling drop-off point instead.

When will I get my flyer?

Flyers are delivered in stages, around 2 weeks before each area's collection date. Some households have already started receiving theirs.

Please note that if your property isn't eligible for hard waste, you will not receive a flyer.
