Works at the Glen Waverley Civic Precinct site continue to progress, with demolition of the former Glen Waverley Library now well advanced.
Early excavation will see large earthmoving equipment and concrete piling machines brought on site to establish the deep foundations required to support the new building.
During this time, residents and visitors may continue to see an increase in construction activity, including additional truck movements around the site and on Kingsway. Traffic management measures will continue to be in place to ensure the safe movement of pedestrians and vehicles.
Some increases in noise and dust are also expected as demolition and excavation works continue. These impacts will be closely monitored and managed, with all works undertaken in accordance with relevant regulations and EPA requirements.
The pedestrian pathway providing access to Century City has now reopened and is available to the public from 10am daily.
