We will soon start building a new, standalone accessible public toilet with privacy screens at Glen Waverley North Reserve.

The new facility will allow more people to use the reserve and enjoy the playground, fitness equipment and other park spaces.

What's happening

We will:

  • Build a new standalone public toilet with an ambulant and accessible cubicle.
  • Build accessible paths to and from the toilet.
  • Add landscaping around the facility to help screen it.

When is it happening?

Works are planned from 25 May to 30 June 2026. We'll update this page with any changes.

Will the reserve be affected?

We will put temporary fencing around the work site during construction to keep everyone safe. Nearby footpaths will stay open, except for short periods when we need to carry out works or deliveries.

Supplies will be delivered via Mulgrave Street and Chesterville Road. Some street parking spaces along Chesterville Road will be used by contractors.

What we heard in 2025

When we asked the community for feedback on the location in 2025, the preferred option was south of the picnic shelter.

Many felt it was safer and a more central and accessible location, citing its proximity to the playground and recreation areas of the reserve.

Based on this feedback, we also added extra landscaping to fit the look of the reserve and help screen the facility.

We look forward to delivering this new facility that will allow more people to enjoy this popular reserve.
