Greening and beautifying the Notting Hill roadside

Ferntree Gully Rd roadside garden, the site of maintenance works

We’re undertaking improvement works in a garden area along Ferntree Gully Road to support our aims of greening and beautifying the roadside verge in Notting Hill.

The garden bed and outer splitter island, near the intersection with Finch Street, are looking tired and in need of renewal.

We’re taking this opportunity to install mudstone rocks, to help retain the existing topsoil, add mulch and conduct new planting to complete the landscape.

Works will take place from Monday 1 June to Friday 5 June. Setting up will commence at 9am, with work expected to start at 9.30am and be concluded by 4pm.

What might affect you?

  • We’ll have traffic management in place to assist with traffic flow and to safely guide pedestrians and traffic around the work areas.
  • Traffic delays are anticipated, as the left lane of Ferntree Gully Road will be closed throughout the day while works are being conducted.
  • Access to residential driveways will be maintained throughout the day.
  • An excavator and truck will be onsite assisting with the works.
