Inspirational Women’s Leadership

Criteria

Nominations are sought to acknowledge and celebrate the significant achievements women make in Monash. 

This category recognises the following:

  • The nominee either lives, works or studies in Monash, or contributes to the Monash community
  • The nominee identifies as a woman
  • A nominee can be recognised for paid or volunteer contributions, however it is noted that extra dedication is required to undertake volunteer work
  • Nominations can be made for one-off contributions, although consistent involvement or dedication may be held in higher regard.


This award will be presented to a nominee who:

  • Has made an enduring commitment to advancing gender equity in the community that has brought about significant change.
  • Breaks down traditional gender stereotypes about what women can do.
  • Is a local champion who has positively impacted others in the community.
  • Is a role model to their family, community and/or workplace.
