Monash Sleep and Settling Support Program
The Monash Sleep and Settling Support Program is a warm, inviting space, set up with dedicated sleep rooms and run by experienced maternal and child health (MCH) nurses.
The program provides support for families who are experiencing sleep and settling concerns with their baby (ages 8 weeks and up).
The program's approach is supported by the Victorian Government's guide for MCH services, which ensures your family receives evidence-based and consistent care.
If your family is unable to attend the centre, we have telehealth and telephone appointments available.
How to join the program
If you have concerns around your infant/child’s sleep, talk with your maternal and child health nurse at your next appointment.
Your MCH nurse can arrange a referral to the Monash Sleep and Settling Support Program, where required.
Only families who attend Monash Council MCH services are eligible for this program.
You can also self-refer by calling 03 9518 3662.
As of October 2025, we no longer provide online Sleep and Settling information talks.
Bookings and cancellations
You'll receive an SMS from our Sleep and Settling team to confirm your referral, and we'll call you to discuss booking an appointment in Mount Waverley.
Due to the demand for the program, there may be a wait time of approximately 2-3 months between when we confirm your booking and your appointment. We try to provide families with an appointment as soon as we can.
Bookings are essential as numbers are strictly limited for each session. A nurse will call 2-3 days before your appointment to confirm you can attend.
Families are required to provide 24 hours' notice of cancellation so we can offer other families on our waiting list a place.
If you can't attend, please call 03 9518 3662.
Do other places provide sleep and settling support?
Yes, some other services that provide sleep and settling support include Queen Elizabeth Centre and Murrumbek Casey Early Parenting Centre. Please note these services may also have wait times.
Your MCH nurse can talk with you about other available options, or you can contact these centres directly to enquire about their referral processes.
