The updated ‘Partnership and Sponsorship’ policy was adopted by Council at its 10 December 2019 meeting.

This policy has been developed to address the issue of Council entering into partnership and sponsorship arrangements, both as a sponsor and as a recipient of sponsorship.
The policy seeks to create a transparent and objective framework for the Council considering applications for sponsorship and for it entering into sponsorship and partnership arrangements as a recipient of funding.
Sponsorships can be in the form of cash contributions, in-kind support or a combination of both, in return for activities that build brand recognition and promote good corporate citizenship and/or grass-roots connections with the local community. Council can receive or provide sponsorship.
