Paint your own galaxy in watercolur!
Escape into a world of stars, colour and creativity at this relaxing watercolour workshop, where participants will create their own stunning galaxy-inspired artwork.
Designed for beginners and experienced artists alike, the class explores the unique fluidity of watercolours, teaching participants how to blend colours and tones to create dreamy, cloud-like galaxies. Once the background is complete, participants can personalise their artwork with stars, constellations and other celestial features.
The workshop offers a mindful and creative experience, making it the perfect opportunity to unwind while learning new artistic techniques.
By the end of the session, participants will take home a unique watercolour painting and the skills and confidence to continue creating their own cosmic masterpieces.
What you will learn
Meet the instructor
Emilie (she/her) is an artist and educator based between Melbourne and Marseille, France, whose practice spans multiple artistic disciplines with a strong focus on community-based art and education.
She completed a PhD in Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2020 and has undertaken artist residencies with Testing Grounds, Making Space and the Comic Art Workshop.
Emilie has exhibited work across Melbourne, including at FortyFive Downstairs, Abbotsford Convent, No Vacancy Gallery, Arcade and George Paton Gallery.
Her workshops are known for their welcoming, hands-on approach, making creative techniques accessible to artists and beginners alike.
