Are you a young person passionate about the planet and ready to act on climate change?

The Youth Climate Leaders training organised by Monash Council in partnership with Climate for Change and Melbourne Zoo will leave you feeling inspired and equipped with hands on experience to make a difference and use your voice for good!

Over a day, you'll rotate through two dynamic workshops:

  • Climate for Change Workshop – Led by young peer facilitators, this session will equip you with the skills to have powerful conversations about climate change, overcome common barriers like scepticism or apathy, and learn how to engage effectively with elected representatives.

  • Zoo-Led Climate and Conservation Workshop – Explore the Zoo grounds while discovering how climate change is impacting wildlife and biodiversity, and how to tell these amazing stories. Connect with like-minded peers and be inspired by the natural world and the role we all play in protecting it.

This is a unique opportunity to build your confidence, expand your climate knowledge, and become part of a growing network of young climate leaders.
