2025 Volunteer of the Year Award

Dr Natasha Brusco

Associate Professor Natasha Brusco has led the delivery of George’s Gymnastics Program at Waverley Gymnastics Centre in Oakleigh.

The program provides 200 children with disabilities, from seven Specialist Schools, with free access to inclusive gymnastics classes.  

Her work has improved the children’s physical wellbeing, confidence and sense of belonging. Natasha has integrated participant feedback into the program design, trained new student volunteers from Monash University and maintained strong collaborative relationships with partner schools. 

Her leadership has cemented the program’s place as a flagship model for inclusion, with measurable impact and established a foundation for sustained delivery in years to come.
