Amendment C172

This amendment seeks to implement the Monash Boulevards Urban Design Framework (BUDF) through:

• Changes to provide for increased residential development heights and density along the 2 boulevards
• Applying the Design and Development Overlay to guide how new residential development looks
• Applying a new local policy; and
• Minor administrative changes.

As conditions of authorisation, the following areas have been removed from the amendment:

• Residential land on Dandenong Road between Poath Road and Warrigal Road - removed due to strategic work being undertaken by the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) and Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) for the Activity Centre Program for Chadstone.
• Residential land on Dandenong Road between Clayton Road and Blackburn Road, and Springvale Road between Madeline Street and Waverley Road - removed due to strategic work being undertaken by the Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) for the Clayton, Monash and Glen Waverley station precincts.
