The Waverley Rail Trail has two main sections and follows the Glen Waverley railway line.
The first 3km starts on the corner of Coleman Parade and Carramar Avenue. It continues on an off-road shared pathway to Alvie Road, Mount Waverley - west of Mount Waverley Station.
A second 1km section of the trail starts at Binalong Avenue and heads west to Holmesglen Station. A pedestrian rail crossing at Elliott Street, Chadstone, connects the path to the Gardiners Creek Trail.
The trail provides direct access to railway stations, Holmesglen TAFE (Chadstone Campus), schools and shopping centres.
