The Lightbox Gallery: brand-new exhibition space opens in Oakleigh

You’re invited to help celebrate the opening of The Lightbox Gallery—a brand-new exhibition space dedicated to digital, illustrative, and photographic art.

Located in the Oakleigh Library Foyer, The Lightbox Gallery features a series of illuminated lightboxes to transform the space into a vibrant canvas for visual storytelling.

It’s an exciting new exhibition space designed to inspire, connect, and elevate creatives in Monash.

Opening Exhibition by Nani Puspasari

The opening exhibition will showcase new works by Monash-based artist Nani Puspasari who will give an Artist Talk to share insights into her creative journey, international residencies, and the vital role of community support for artists living and working in Monash.

Drinks and light refreshments provided.

The exhibition will run from Saturday 1 November 2025 – Monday 5 January 2026 and will open during Oakleigh Library hours. 

The Lightbox Gallery builds on Council’s vision to support creative careers and will showcase emerging, mid-career, and established digital artists through future exhibitions and collaborative programs.
