Monash residents can seek breastfeeding advice and support from a lactation consultant and maternal and child health (MCH) nurse at the Monash breastfeeding support centre.

Sessions run Mondays (closed public holidays), 1pm - 3pm, at 7 Dorrington Drive, Mount Waverley.

Appointments are now required. This helps us plan for sessions, reduce wait times and ensure each family receives individual support.

Please speak with your MCH nurse to discuss a referral.

We are no longer able to accept walk-ins on the day.

How to get a referral

Speak to your MCH nurse about whether this service might suit your needs.

You can also call 03 9518 3662 and our staff will arrange for an MCH nurse to contact you.

What to bring to your appointment

  • Your child infant health record (green book)
  • Any breastfeeding aids, for example nipple shield, breast pumps
  • Burping cloth and wrap
  • Bottle of water for adult.

For more information, speak to your maternal and child health nurse or call the Central Booking Number on 9518 3662.
