Maternal and child health visit 2: 2 weeks old
This is usually your first visit at your local maternal and child health (MCH) centre.
All family members are welcome at your maternal and child health appointments. Please remember to bring your green book and nappy bag!

What happens at my 2-week visit?
At your 2-week visit, your family and MCH nurse will:
- Go through a physical, growth and developmental check for your baby, including weighing.
- Talk about your baby's feeding, safe sleeping recommendations and sleep area.
- Talk about how you and your family are feeling, and where to find support if needed.
- Learn more about parenting groups.
- Check your baby's birth has been registered.
- Share links to parenting information. List below.
Next visit: 4 weeks old.
Please note there is no video recording or photography at MCH appointments.
